Is it possible to get a grant ?

I am looking to start a course to become a professional plumber, I have made inquiries and received booklets in the post. However I work full time and to be honest the wages are shocking approx �1000 a month or just over. I have a family which I need to support and if doing the course will have to be on the side so to say..... The course itself cost �5,600 which I do not have lying about and do not own a money tree unfortunately. I am really keen on doing the course and hopefully making a better life for me and my family, does anyone know if a grant is in question and if so where and how I can apply for such a grant.
